Cows Don't Hop

First rodeo...
There's not much on TV tonight so Don was flipping around the channels for something with animals to watch with Andrew. He came across the Outdoor Life Network and a rodeo was on. Both boys' eyes locked on to the action. I asked Andrew if he would ride a bull. At first he said yes. Then when Don pointed out the danger, Andrew said, "I would ride a cow. They don't spin around, and they don't hop like that." Wise boy.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one. - Charles Mackay

That is quite the picture. How smart he is!

I'm laughing so hard here, Wen... "I would ride a cow!" I've got to remember to tell this to Yuri!

At our local state fair, they have mutton riding for little kids - some as young as 3 yrs. old. I would never allow Charles to do that - those kids were getting so beat up. Anyway, Yuri and I watched this event several times in total shock, so he would really appreciate Andrew's cow comment!

Wise boy, indeed!

Gosh, Jules, I can't imagine seeing that! I'd never let my kids do that either!

I thought of Andrew's cow comment the other day. My neighbor across the street has cows. I was waiting on Alex to get home off the bus and noticed there was a new baby cow out with the older ones. He hopped around trying to play with one that I am assuming is it's mother. It was an adorable sight. So now we know - cows do hop.
