Guess what???

Expanding...
I'm pregnant! Yahoo! I've known for a few weeks but haven't been a faithful blogger as of yet. I'm 7 weeks no and still no sign of the ickies. I hope I don't have morning sickness this time either. Everyone keeps telling me that it should be showing up by now if I was going to have it. What I have noticed is that I cant eat as much at mealtime... I don't seem to finish a plate anymore. When I am eating and get full its a like a switch goes off and the thought of bringing food to my mouth again makes me nauseated. Funny, I'm ok when I'm empty, but get queasy when I'm full. And that only seems to happen at dinner... quite the opposite of what is expected normally. But as long ad I heed my body's trigger that its done, I'm just fine.

I went to the office today for my first visit... just saw the nurse. She asked me a million and one health history questions... now that I don't remember from the last time. I think Bea (an older nurse who has now retired... gosh I miss her already) was much more relaxed that than this nurse Ratchet that did our overview today. I got all of the reminders about listeria (hot dogs, deli meats and soft cheeses), seafood/tuna, saccharins and a million other things. I wanted say, "my youngest just turned two... I GOT IT ALREADY!" but I was quiet and answered her questions.

I did wave the HIV and cystic fibrosis screens. I just had them 2 years ago... if I wasn't a carrier of CF then, I won't be one now. And I figured my chances of having contracted HIV in the last 2 years if fairly slim being a faithful, conservative Baptist housewife and all. LOL But I do have to go for the prenatal screen bloodwork this week some time, so that the results are back by the 27th when I see the doctor for the first time. I'll be 9 weeks then... probably won't be able to hear a heatbeat yet though. Darn it. I'll just have to wait until Feb for that.
All is well though, which is blessed news.

More soon!

Wow, Election day is finally here!

Excercizing your vote...
Is finally here. The day we (hopefully) re-elect W!! Gosh, I'm so nervous! I have some breakfast cooking at the moment, but as soon as thats scarfed down, I'm off to VOTE! Andrew and I are both wearing red, white & blue today.

We have a play date at noon. Should be lively conversation. I know my best buddy mom friend, Emily, will be there and she's a very liberal gal. I love her so... pity she's so wrong on politics. (giggle)

I guess tonight we'll be propped up in the recliners watching the returns tonight. Oh, I hope its decisive so we don't have a 2000 or worse all over again. The media guys should be comical to watch. We have beer and left-overs, what more could a gal want?!?!

OK, eggs are ready.. gotta scarf and go VOTE!

Its Monday

Winter is coming...
Its Monday again. Nothing big on the agenda. Laundry, vacuuming downstairs and playing outside with the lil' guy. Ah, the life of a mommy. LOL

I do need to get some things pulled up in the yard today. It won't be long before the heavy frosts hit and I'd rather get the summer things gone now, while they are not icky and rotten from the cold. I wonder where our rake is... hmmm...

The election is tomorrow. I'll be so glad when its done. I wonder how late I'll have to stay up to get some results. Or if we'll even know by Wednesday morning.

New time today...

Fall back...
Well it happened last night. Some time around 2am, time rolled back for everyone. For me it rolled back before I went to bed. So instead of falling in the sheets at midnight, suddenly it was 11pm. Our son had no idea it was a time change night. But he slept until 8am old time... 7am new time. Yay me! I got 8 hours. Wonders never cease. I'm sure Don came to bed late, I'll check his blog for a late/early morning entry. He thinks he should still stay up late on Friday and Saturday nights when he was a teenager. Bother. I wonder if he will stop that by age 40??

Today is Sunday. We go to our little church today and woship our BIG God. I'm so glad. We had to miss last week and our Wednesday night prayer meeting because of other things on the schedule so I'm feeling very distant from my little church family. I wonder who might miss today because they forgot to set their clocks back.

I'm sure we'll go see the inlaws today after church. Its what we do!

T minus 2 days until the election. Go Bush!
